Amgen AC-24 Research Facility
Project Details: This research facility is an AQ/QC laboratory for new and existing drugs. There are 30 labs, 10 chemical storage rooms (Class 1, Division 1), 5 environmental rooms, 1 neutralization building and 88 offices.
The Amgen Central Utility Plant (CUP) feeds this 3,000-amp service, with backed up provided by emergency generators and a 150 KVA UPS system.
Scope of work included installation of the gas detection and oxygen monitoring systems, fire alarm, security, communications and lightning protection. All electrical and mechanical installations were coordinated using 3D computer technology.
