Research Complex I & II
Project Details: Scope of work at this complex included two phases. The first phase consisted of a 12-story (south) building and a 9-story (north) building totaling over 600,000 square feet. The second phase consisted of a 9-story building. Several potential roadblocks were overcome including delayed project inception and design changes, and the coordination of overhead work in extremely restricted areas. Despite these circumstances our crews were able to maintain all original milestones for completion.
From the inception of this project, MYR Group fully embraced the 3D coordination process for advanced planning. Careful coordination and constant revision of 3D drawings were required to plan and coordinate this large and complex maze of systems. MYR Group’s pre-fab department was invaluable in solving storage and schedule problems and maintained ability to minimize rework and efficient productivity.
